Inspiration comes from many quarters. From photographs in a family album, from watching Hollywood blockbusters, or from a visit to a ‘Historical Scotland’ castle. But this is our first collection, whether it be dresses or headdresses, which can claim the first spark of creation was inspired by song. Sitting in my usual cupboard which acts as a machine room, and listening to our usual compilation of music from all corners of the globe, it was mentioned that it was one year to the day since Scott McKenzie had passed away. The presenter then proceeded to play the iconic anthem, “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)”.

Two days later, voila! It’s 1967 and I can picture my headdresses at ‘the Monterey Pop Festival’, as we listen to Jimi Hendrix and we wait to see if Janis Joplin will come on stage with her own floral tribute to the Flower Power generation.

However it’s not 1967, and it’s not California. But who cares? Feel free to let the ‘Boho’ in you loose. Our new ‘Collezione di Fiori’ if full of beautiful silk roses, floral embroidery, and just about everything that’s needed to accessorise your sixties wedding day. Or any other wedding day.
