Clara – 1920s Wedding Dress
Once you try on Clara, our stunning 1920s wedding dress, you just won’t want to take it back off.
Inspired by the most iconic of twenties fashion, the flapper dress, Clara is ‘the’ dress for the girl who wants her first dance to be one of the twenties classics, such as the charleston or the bunny hop. Beautifully made from sandwashed silk crepe, Clara has a deep band of luxurious pale gold embroidery and is embellished with AB crystals around a dropped waist. The sample shown on this page also has AB crystals embellishing the neckline, shoulder straps and down the back. However the most stunning part of the design has to be the ‘handkerchief’ skirt made from 20 meters of pure silk tulle, which gives the dress an uneven hemline reminiscent of the ‘roaring twenties’, which floats elegantly as you walk.
As with all the Lindsay Fleming Couture 1920s wedding dress designs, Clara is open to an array of changes to the design shown here. In the past clients have asked for silver embroidery, ivory embroidery, thicker straps, and a change to the fabric used for the skirt. Basically, your dress can be as unique to you, it is just a case of discussing the options with a designer. Be sure to click on ‘Further Images of Clara‘ below to see pictures from a number of photoshoots and client weddings.
Finally, why not compliment your dress with one or more of our fantastic twenties inspired accessories? We have a fantastic range to make your day even more special, including headdresses, gloves, coats, and bolero’s.

Hi, you spoke to my friend yesterday from Canada about the Clara dress. My name is Shannon and I am the bride to be. I love this dress. Is it white or ivory? I am wondering because I bought these great shoes and they are ivory but I can hve them bleached. Now I know its early but a girl can never have to many shoes. So I need to know do I get them bleached or not because this will be my dress.
Thanks
Your Canadian friend,
