Chic 1950s Retro Wedding Dress photoshoot by Archibald Photography

Always on the hunt for a great photoshoot location, we came across The Dome while looking for a venue which would be perfect for our Manhattan Collection of retro wedding dresses. Set in the heart of Edinburgh, The Dome was originally the site of the old Physicians Hall, and is a beautiful building retaining many period features. Built in 1775, we felt it would compliment the dresses, and offer us the backdrop we were looking for. And the beauty was it was less than an hour away from the studio, not the ‘norm’ for our photoshoots.

At the time we had just added Joan to the collection and we needed a few images for the website, so along with our photographer Mark Archibald, we set off before dawn in order to be there before they opened to the public. For once we had a lovely sunny morning and we even managed to get a few images outside.
