Kim – A 1950s Wedding Dress at Sera’s House

We just love this collection of images by Mark Archibald, taken in November 2011 on our vintage photoshoot at ‘Sera’s House’ near the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. Kim, one of our 1950s wedding dress designs had never really been photographed and we badly needed some cracking images to do the dress justice.
The house was an absolute gem: full of quirky nicknacks, period furnishings, and surprises round every corner. At times we had to ‘de-clutter’ before Mark was happy with the shot, so the army of helpers (David) spent his day rearranging the room and trying to remember how to put it back together again after the shot.
During the shoot we found the actual house was quite dark, with the natural light struggling to make it’s way into every the nook and cranny. On top of that, as the day progressed, Mark’s job became more and more difficult as the winter sun began to disappear just when it came time to photograph Kim. But when you look at the images in the above gallery, I’m sure you will agree with us that the problems did not stop Mark producing a fantastic set of images, which show off the dress to it’s glorious best.
