The Twenties Influence on Scottish Weddings – The Daily Record

The Twenties Influence on Scottish Weddings – The Daily Record

Another little catch up from the Lindsay Fleming Archives (old blog postings on the old website) brings us to an article published by the ‘Scottish Daily Record’ last Spring. With the immanent release of the remake of ‘The Great Gatsby’ on the big screen, and the perceived influence this would have on the bridal industry, The Record was looking for details on brides who had incorporated influences from the Twenties into their wedding day. As one of the top designers who offer a vintage collection, we were asked if we could help.

We were delighted to contact a couple of brides on the newspaper’s behalf to see if they would participate in the article. Both ladies were delighted to help, and both as it happens had chosen our most popular dress, ‘Clara‘.

Our first bride, Pauline, came to see us down in London at one of our very successful ‘roadshows’, and has already featured in our blog.

The second bride featured in the article was Rachel from Glasgow, who came to see us in 2010 about a dress to wear at her Twenties wedding. Rachel had seen our dresses while visiting the ‘Scottish Wedding Show’ the previous year as a bridesmaid to her best friend. It just goes to show that when you attend a wedding show, you never know when someone who spoke to you will finally ring your phone as a possible client.
